The EMC-50 ECU is a dual-channel, full authority digital electronic control unit.
The ECU is electrically interfaced with the Fuel Delivery Unit to:
- Provide metering and shutoff of engine fuel flow via a dual-wound stepper motor metering valve assembly,
- Read metering valve position feedback from a Rotary Variable Differential Transformer (RVDT),
- Provide fuel cutoff capability via a dual-wound solenoid driven fuel shutoff valve,
- Control a dual-wound solenoid driven engine bleed valve actuator,
- Receive a 3-phase power supply from a permanent magnet alternator (PMA).
