DESCRIPTION

Artex C406-N Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT)

Single output ELT containing latitude/longitude information from aircraft navigation system
406 MHz transmitter turns on and transmits an encoded digital message to the Cospas/Sarsat satellite system every 50 seconds for 520 milliseconds
During crash, ELT automatically activates and transmits standard swept tone on 121.5 and 243.0 MHz
