DESCRIPTION

Pilot Heated Windshield Assembly, Left

The windshield is a laminated construction of two structural plies of 0.350 inch-thick (8.9 mm-thick) stretched acrylic and a non-structural 0.125 inch-thick (3.18 mm-thick) chemically tempered outer ply
The anti-ice heating system is encapsulated in polyurethane interlayer inboard of the outer layer glass ply
Two temperature sensing elements are installed next to the heating element to provide thermal control information
The outside surface of the outer glass face ply has an electrically conductive coating to provide electrostatic charge dissipation and can be electrically checked to determine it's serviceability
Surface Seal water repellant applied to the outer glass
